“Don’t wait until the last minute to do anything. Plan your time wisely the day of prom so you aren’t rushing and feeling overwhelmed,” said senior Jaylaan Bennett.

Preparing for prom in advance can take the stress off of students as prom gets closer and closer.

“Plan out what you’re going to wear with your date and set up the things you would want to do beforehand,”senior Clayton Jones said.

When preparing for prom, some might say that girls have it harder when getting ready the day of.

“Girls do their hair and makeup, while guys don’t do as much,” junior Madison Leonard said.

Some may take that extra step in prom prep, to make sure on the day of they aren’t forgetting anything.

“For someone preparing for prom, I’d say that it’s great to just do a full pre-prom run through. It really helps for the day of prom, junior Shelby Andrysezyk.

Attending Prom can create memories for students that they can share with all their friends

“I’m excited because it’s memories of being with my best friends I will have for the rest of my life,” junior Jordan Warlick

Creating memories and having fun are all parts of prom. During prom, being around your friends may help students forget the stress of high school for one night.

“It’s something fun to do,” Clayton said, “It gives you something to do rather than worry about school or anything else.”
