Dutch Fork High School celebrates Valentine’s Day, with Sing-Ograms, flowers, and hugs and kisses. “There is nothing really that important to me [during Valentine’s Day], but for the people that are in love, I think it’s a sweet holiday to represent the one you love [and] it is neat to have a holiday to spend with your special someone,” Freshman Zoe Lewis said. Although, people don’t look at Valentine’s Day as an important holiday, but it is still nice to exchange cards, candy, gifts or flowers with a family member, a special “Valentine” or even with a special friend. “[Valentine’s day is] not as important as Christmas,” Social Studies teacher Robert Barron said, “and it was cooked up to sell cards and flowers. I buy my daughter and wife cards, and we have a nice dinner.”
